Living in Westboro with teenage children, a bittersweet waft in the air of an impending empty nest inspired this family to create their very own urban oasis.
An old garage was resided with a pagoda attached to house and a wood fired cedar hot tub where family and friends could visit together year round. Gardens and whimsical fences, a clear glass railing so they could enjoy the views from within create this wonderful connection with family and nature. It was such a pleasure to design and build, they let us have free reign and just too delight in how it emerged, we didn’t actually do drawings beyond what was required for permit and had the pleasure of allowing this to emerge in an inspired (and we hope inspiring) way.
